Farmers can deliver their grain to the nearest GMB depot, where it will be weighed, graded, and recorded. Payment is made directly into the farmer’s registered bank account once the grain passes quality checks. Farmers must bring identification, proof of land ownership or farming rights, and a valid producer number.

GMB uses strict quality control measures at all depots. Every batch of grain is tested for moisture content, impurities, and overall grade before acceptance. This ensures that only clean, safe, and properly dried grain enters the national supply chain.

Yes. Both individuals and registered companies can apply to purchase grain from GMB for milling, stock feed production, or household consumption. Buyers are required to submit a formal application at the nearest depot or through the GMB Head Office and comply with all payment and documentation requirements.

The Grain Marketing Board (GMB) buys and sells agricultural commodities such as maize, wheat, soya beans, small grains, and fertilizers. It provides storage, grain handling, and marketing services to farmers and millers across Zimbabwe, ensuring national food security through its strategic grain reserves.
